FINALLY REVEALED! Have you ever wondered how fabrics are dyed at the Ricky Tims studio in Colorado? Here he shows you how. I am posting this from TheQuiltShow so you can see how Ricky does his dyeing. One thing to notice is that he soaks his damp fabric in  soda ash solution before applying the dyes.  I sometimes soda ash this way, but I usually pour soda ash solution over my already scrunched up damp fabric  after the dyes have been applied.
