A treasured First Communion dress transformed with stitch, textile fragments dyed in seawater on an uninhabited Scottish island, and plastic marine debris stitched into a textile – just 3 of the exciting new contemporary quilts on show in this exhibition by the dynamic Contemporary Quilters West. Twenty-one of their members will be exhibiting their newest work.

SEEDS of SAQA How Does Your Garden Grow
is at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum  in Las Cruces, New Mexico, through  August 5, 2018

The artists of the New Mexico region of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) created a rack of fiber art seed packets. Each artist chose a flower or vegetable and created its image in a 16” x 16” quilt. The quilts have been mounted to resemble a traditional seed packet.
