Off the Grid: Contemporary Fiber and Textile Art
is at Betty Mae Kramer Gallery and Music Room in Silver Spring, Maryland, through April 6, 2018

Off the Grid features contemporary fiber and textile based artworks by Montgomery County artists Judy Kirpich, Hillary Steel, Floris Flam, Betsy Packard, and Karen Schulz. The five artists featured in this exhibition make innovative use of a variety of global and traditional methods such as weaving, resist dyeing, piecing, stitching, and screen printing. Diversely inspired, these contemporary works embrace abstraction and improvised use of color, shape, and form.
