The exhibit “Quilts” at the Stanford Art Spaces, which is on through May 19, 2011, includes work of Yvonne Porcella’s from the 1980′s to present. Four  new exhibits are being held at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.  They will run through May 1, 2011.

Earthly Paradise: Memory, Myth, Metaphor features large scale quilt tapestries from Carrie Houseman and Darbury Novoselic.

Eden Re-imagined features the embroidered work of two Argentinian artists, Leo Chiachio and Daniel Giannone.

Boy Code investigates the power of doodles created spontaneously by boys, during their adolescence, in embroideries by Wendy Osher.

Modern Maya highlights contemporary Mayan clothing and photographs of the weavers themselves.
