Deer Visit and “Party Down”

February 12, 2011 § Leave a comment

Fifteen or so deer, both does and bucks, visited our place a few weeks ago on one afternoon.  As you can see from the photos, they were eating my English ivy as well as other greenery under the snow.  They lingered for some time, so I was able to get some photos. They were right outside the house.   So beautiful!

I never realized before that they  all “hang out” together in the winter.  I had thought that the bucks were more solitary.

It was fun to watch them, though I didn’t appreciate them devouring my plants.

I had posted some of the photos on Facebook right after their visit, but I still wanted to post about this on my blog.
