This is my piece that I purchased from Hollis Chatelaine a few years ago.  She used the aluminum bars across the top and across the bottom.  The quilt hangs straight and looks good with this type of hanging system.

Contemporary Fiber Artists of Louisiana and Friends annual fiber show, “A Walk through the Swamp” is  currently hanging in Baton Rouge, and will travel to Thibodaux and Ville Platte.  If you can’t make it, a virtual show is now online  on their blog at:  http://cfalart.blogspot.com/2011/01/walk-in-swamp-2011_15.html

The exhibit, A Walk Through the Swamp, is currently at Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, through February 6, 2011.

Then it shows February 9 – April 26, 2011 at Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center, Thibodaux, LA
And on to  Louisiana State Arboretum in  Ville Platte, LA, for the month of June 2011.

SAQA Benefit Auction 2010: Big Success

Studio Art Quilt Association’s Benefit Auction was their biggest fundraiser so far. SAQA received 288 donations for their 2010 auction and raised $52,450.

Fantastic! I just had to post this update, as I had posted information about the auction at the time, just having learned of their success.
